Accounts we no longer open

Free Checking was replaced by Everyday Checking for new accounts on May 1, 2016. Existing Free Checking accounts continue under their original terms and are not being converted. The two accounts differ in that Free Checking does not include the ATM fee refunds and does not have mobile check deposit limits above $2,500 per day.

Golden Checking, for clients 62 and older, closed to new accounts on October 1, 2019. Accounts opened before that date keep the free official checks, the free box of checks and the fee waivers described in the disclosure delivered at opening. Clients who would have qualified for Golden Checking now open Everyday Checking, which does not charge the paper statement fee to a client 62 or older.

Coosa Federal Savings NOW accounts acquired in 2016 and Highland Ridge Value Checking acquired in 2021 were converted to Everyday Checking during the core platform work completed in April 2026. Clients affected received a change in terms notice at least 30 days before the conversion.

What You Need to Know About Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees

An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway. We can cover your overdrafts in two different ways: through the standard overdraft practice that comes with your account, and through an overdraft line of credit or a transfer from another Calder account that you apply for.

We do authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions: checks and other transactions made using your account number, and automatic bill payments.

We do not authorize and pay overdrafts for ATM transactions or everyday debit card transactions unless you ask us to. You must tell us that you want us to authorize and pay overdrafts on your ATM and everyday debit card transactions. If you do not, those transactions will be declined when you do not have enough money in your account, and you will not be charged an overdraft fee on them.

We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined or returned unpaid.

The overdraft fee is $35.00 per item. We will not charge more than four overdraft fees per business day. We do not charge an overdraft fee on an item of $10.00 or less, and we do not charge one when the account is overdrawn by $10.00 or less at the end of the business day. There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account other than the daily limit stated here.

We post transactions in the following order each business day: deposits and credits first, then withdrawals made in person or at an ATM in the order they occurred, then debit card transactions that we have authorized in the order they were authorized, then checks and automatic payments in check number order and then in ascending dollar amount. Posting order affects whether an item overdraws the account.

You may add or remove ATM and everyday debit card overdraft coverage at any time by calling (423) 555-0169, by visiting any office, or through the Preferences page in Online Banking. A change made after 6:00 p.m. Eastern takes effect the following business day.

Truth in Savings Disclosure: Premier Checking

Rate information. The interest rate on your account is 0.1499% with an annual percentage yield of 0.15% for balances of $2,500.00 and above. For balances below $2,500.00 the interest rate is 0.0499% with an annual percentage yield of 0.05%. Your interest rate and annual percentage yield may change. At our discretion we may change the interest rate on your account at any time. Interest rates in effect as of 08/01/2026.

Compounding and crediting frequency. Interest will be compounded monthly and will be credited to your account monthly on the last business day of the statement cycle. If you close your account before interest is credited, you will not receive the accrued interest.

Minimum balance requirements. The minimum balance required to open this account is $100.00. You must maintain a minimum balance of $2,500.00 in the account each day to obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield of 0.15%. A monthly maintenance fee of $22.00 will be imposed every statement cycle unless one of the relationship conditions described on this page is met during the cycle.

Balance computation method. We use the daily balance method to calculate the interest on your account. This method applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day.

Accrual of interest on noncash deposits. Interest begins to accrue no later than the business day we receive credit for the deposit of noncash items, for example checks.

Transaction limitations. No transaction limitations apply to this account other than those described in the deposit agreement and any limit we place on a specific service, for example the daily debit card limits.

Fees. See the consumer fee schedule above. Fees may reduce the earnings on the account.

  1. The relationship conditions are measured on the last business day of the statement cycle for balances, and over the cycle for direct deposits. Combined deposit balances include checking, savings, money market and certificate balances held under the same primary taxpayer identification number, and the balance of a consumer installment loan or home equity line originated by us. Balances held in trust or agency accounts administered by our Wealth and Trust division are not included in this calculation. A mortgage sold to an investor but serviced by us counts; a mortgage sold servicing released does not.
  2. Annual Percentage Yield. Rates in effect as of 08/01/2026 and subject to change at any time, including after the account is opened. Fees may reduce earnings.
  3. One overdraft fee refund per calendar year per Premier Checking account, requested within 60 days of the fee. Ask at any office or call (423) 555-0169. We do not apply it automatically because the request is how we know you noticed.
  4. Accounts opened before March 1, 2023 are not charged the paper statement fee. Neither is an account whose primary owner is 62 or older, or a Premier Checking account, or an account enrolled in paperless statements. The fee is charged per account, not per statement mailed, and a combined statement counts as one.
  5. Zelle and the Zelle marks are used here to describe the person-to-person payment service available in Online Banking. Enrollment and transfer limits apply, and transfers are generally available only between accounts at U.S. financial institutions. Neither we nor the service can help you recover a payment you authorized to the wrong person, which is worth reading twice.
